Merton Asylum Welcome is a popular drop-in centre which provides social and practical support to clients. We have a dedicated team of staff, volunteers and partners who provide support in the areas of education (school uniforms, school meals, admissions etc), housing, benefits, debt, access to education and employment, immigration and family support. We also support clients to access specialist mainstream services such as domestic violence and victim support. Partners include: Merton Education, Citizens Advice Bureau, Christian Care, Merton Refugee Support and Groundworks. We provide structured English learning, ICT and family learning classes.
Our service is free and people using the service don’t need an appointment – we operate on a first come first served basis. We offer a nutritious lunch and can help with transport costs for destitute clients. We also run popular outings for families in the school holidays.
