MaWAW Youth Outreach Project runs a number of different services for young people aged 12 – 19.
Our Youth Support Project provides one-to-one support for young people aged 12 – 19. We provide targeted short and long term assistance to young people, supporting them in the areas of education and training, immigration, welfare, health, accessing documents and files, and family issues. The project also provides an outreach and advocacy service which operates from various community bases, and provides advocates to accompany young people to meetings and appointments. We also organise, and help young people to access, social and recreational activities.
Our Youth Club which runs on a Wednesday from 15.15 – 17.45 is for young people aged 12 – 18. The club is a safe and welcoming space which has lots of games and activities for young people. We have WII, foosball, pool, table tennis, board games and arts materials – the club also has its own games field where we play cricket, football and other sports. We have a programme of weekly activities (such as arts, music and beauty) which is led by ideas from young people at the club. We also provide staff and volunteers who can support with English and homework.
We run regular trips both after school and during the school holidays (see events for more details).
Youth Club Hours: 15.15 – 17.45 Venue: St Teresa’s Hall, 250 Bishopsford Road, Morden, SM4 6BZ
